Welcome! I’m Peggy!
If you want more than Listicles for your travel information than this is the site for you. Hi, I’m Marguerite Cleveland, an experienced travel writer but all my friends call me Peggy. My domain name was inspired by my friends asking, “Peggy, where should I go?” and then when I share tips they ask “How do you know this?” Well, because I really am a travel expert and I also have a super power. People love to talk to me and share their stories with me. It also leads to great travel tips which I can share with you.
My experience is vast. I come from a road trip loving family, unfortunately when your Dad loves Civil War history it was often battlefields but hey it helped me get better grades in history. Between growing up as a military brat, serving myself and marrying a soldier, I have moved 30 times, visited 49 states (North Dakota, you are on my bucket list), and lived abroad both in Germany and South Korea. I’ve also visited 18 countries around the world.
I started travel writing in December 2017 for various publications, but my biggest frustration was the word count. My assignments were anywhere from 500 to 1200 words which is just not enough to share a great destination. I started this website which offers me the freedom to write as much as I want, in my voice and to answer that question, “Peggy, where should I go?”
My travel style is about comfort and a slow pace. You don’t have to rough it to have an authentic travel experience. As an empty-nester, I feel no guilt enjoying luxury travel but I am not afraid to rough it if the destination warrants it. I am a huge supporter and fan of small local businesses and I try and show them some love in my work whenever possible. My work covers solo trips, couples’ journeys, family travel and girlfriend getaways.
