Make your travel experiences more authentic

Let’s be outdoorsy with spectacular views, and short hikes during the day with luxury hotels at night. Let’s cruise without the waterslides and buffets. Instead enjoy cultural experiences and fine dining. Let’s road trip with no camping and instead stay at historic lodges and destination resorts.

Discover Tacoma

Tacoma has long sat in the shadow of its more famous
neighbor Seattle when it comes to being a tourist
destination. But not many towns can offer its combination
of mountain, city, and sea.

100 Things To Do In Tacoma Before You Die” (paid link) is my love letter to the city of Tacoma. Learn why I love this city.

Welcome! I’m Peggy!

Hi, I’m Marguerite Cleveland, an experienced travel writer but everyone knows me as Peggy. My domain name was inspired by friends constantly asking, “Peggy, where should I go?” I’ll share a secret. I discovered my calling after I turned 50 and became a travel writer.

My experience is vast. I come from a road trip loving family. Unfortunately when your Dad loves Civil War history it was often battlefields but hey it helped me get better grades in history. Between growing up as a military brat, serving myself and marrying a soldier, I have moved 33 times, visited 49 states (North Dakota, you are on my bucket list), and toured 25 countries around the world. I loved living abroad both in Germany and South Korea.
