Heart Pumping Adrenaline at Zipzone, Peachland, British Columbia

I have a family that needs lots of adventure activities on a vacation. We have been on ziplines all over the U.S. and Canada and I have to say that Zipzone, Peachland ranks high on our list. Located in Peachland, British Columbia, the zipping takes place over the stunning Deep Creek Gorge.

Reservations are a Must!

Zipzone Peachland

This is a super popular local attraction so make sure and book a reservation at Zipzone Peachland. You can book two, four or six lines. I recommend at least four as the Gorge is so beautiful. There are beautiful views as you wind your way up from Highway 97. Once you arrive and everyone from your group checks in there is a short safety briefing and class before you get on your way. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of the staff and their attention to safety.

The guides are fun and keep the kids engaged.

My son Charlie did the ziplines and I had a follow along pass as an observer. The lines crisscross over the Deep Creek Gorge so at one platform I could observe him departing and on another coming back across the gorge. The trail was easy to follow, and I was able to capture some great photos and video at each stop. All along the trail are funny signs and artwork. The Aspens and Douglas Firs really add to the scenery.

The Ziplines

The company uses a specialized safety system that allows for freestyling it while you zip. You can go backwards, forwards or even DO THE DANGLE ™ which involves zipping upside down across the canyon. These are Canada’s highest freestyle zip lines and offer quite the thrill.

Charlie gets a boost of confidence.

The guides are lots of fun as they expertly guide everyone across the lines and demonstrate the various ways to freestyle. Each of the ziplines is a fun experience but two really standout.

Charlie enjoying the scenery.

The Bucket-Lister is the highest freestyle zipline in Canada. It is 381 feet high and you are so high up that Bald Eagles have been sighted below the zipline. How cool is that?

What a fun summer job!

The Speed Freak is the longest and fastest of the six lines. Over 1800 feet, you fly through the canyon so fast that you feel like you are going to hit the walls of the canyon at the end. Speeds often exceed 50 kp/h.

All tours also include access to a climbing wall, obstacle course and other puzzles and games. The company also offers an Adventure Pass for the activities without ziplining. It was well worth the visit.

Press Trip. Thank you to Tourism Kelowna and Zipzone Peachland for setting up this visit for me.

  1. I’m a little big scared of heights, but I hope I’d have the enthusiasm to go on a zip line one day. They look like such fun, I guess I just need to look ahead and not look down!
